A NEW CHAPTER IN THE LIFE IN THE FAST LANE REWIND

After a thirteen-year hiatus, the popular live race talk radio program, Life in the Fast Lane Rewind made a return to where it began some twenty-nine years ago on WVIN Radio in Bath, NY. now with WVIN being sold we have been given the opportunity to try a new venue. A website lifeinthefastlanerewind.net. Show originator, Kenny Shupp Jr. will be back as the host after he originated the program in 1996. “Ever since I stepped away over a dozen years ago, countless people have indicated to me how much they missed listening to the program. I was burned out with racing overload when I decided to retire from hosting the show, but now I have a much better balance in my racing life, and I cannot wait to get the show rolling again.” According to Life in the Fast Lane Rewind host, Kenny Shupp Jr. After successful negotiations with WVIN FM station management, the first program is tentatively set to air on Monday, November 7, 2022, from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm EST. “We did not want to rush into this without having a good plan in place. There are marketing partners that need to be secured, commercials cut and promos recorded. There is a lot to do to get this program off the ground, but one thing in our favor is this show was extremely popular for the thirteen years it was on the air. I feel confident it will pick up right where we left off with it in 2009. That once again according to Shupp. The format will mirror that of the previous program featuring news, notes, race results and interviews from local short tracks within the Southern Tier Region of Upstate New York. The show will zero in on activities at Chemung, Freedom, Land of Legends, Outlaw, Woodhull Raceways and others. Coverage of the Super DIRTcar Series, the Short Track Super Series, World of Outlaw Late Models and Sprints, LUCAS Oil Late Models and the All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series will also be provided particularly when those series are touring in the northeast. “The technology is so far advanced from when I retired from this years ago. Now listeners can tune in live on WVIN 98.3 FM in Bath with streaming on www.wvinbath.com. There is also an app that listeners can download on their phones so Life in the Fast Lane Rewind will be heard all over the world, not just locally. The focus will still be on local short tracks, but with the outreach of today’s technology the listening audience will increase dramatically.” Life in the Fast Lane Rewind aired each Monday after the prelim on November 7, 2022, unless there is a conflict with a local high school sporting activity and if that happens the show will air the next night at the assigned 6:00 PM hour. After a year and a half we extended our hour to an hour and a half. For anyone who would like to become a sponsor or for those that have any questions or comments, Shupp can be reached at 607-329-6305 or via email at kshupp@stny.rr.com or lifeinthefastlanerewind@gmail.cim I will be reaching out to several of my colleagues that participate in Public Relations for several of the tracks that I want to cover to make sure they send me all their race results and upcoming event information.” That once again according to Shupp. He and his wife Mary own Promotions and Consulting LLC, a public relations firm and live in Woodhull, NY.Industry expert trainers
